متن کامل گفتگو

Hello, I hope the mood of all of you is as warm as these summer days. I'm happy to be your guest with episode sixty-three of Radio Chahar Naal.

The guest of this Radio Chahar Naal program is Mr. Dr. Hossein Moti'i, the head of the Equestrian Federation, who honored us by being a guest on the Radio Chahar Naal program. Our conversation with Mr. Moti'i is about the past and future of equestrianism in Iran. Before recording, I told him a sentence: "Sir, unfortunately, we are a bit caught up in despair, and I hope to hear good news from you that will warm our hearts for the future work of many of us and also the interest of many of you." Anyway, you are going to hear some very good talks.

It was a friendly chat, and I thank him again for taking the time to be a guest on the sixty-third episode of the radio. My colleagues in this episode are dear Farshid Jahanbazi, the designer of this episode's poster and Instagram cover, and the composers of Radio Chahar Naal, Ms. Negin Goudarzi with her heavenly voice, and dear Erfan Moghaddam. Also, as always, if you are interested in helping and supporting Radio Chahar Naal and giving it a fresh breath.

The financial support link is in the description of this episode, and I would be happy to have your support, both materially and spiritually. Thank you for being with me. Let's go listen to episode sixty-three of my conversation with Dr. Hossein Moti'i. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Mr. Dr. Hossein Moti'i, thank you for honoring us and taking the time to be a guest on the radio program. I'm very happy about this matter and

Thank you for accepting me despite your busy schedule. Please, let's continue with the content. You're welcome. Greetings to you. I hope your mourning in this month has been accepted. I also send my greetings and respect to the dear listeners. I hope we can have a good interview that will be fruitful for the prestigious equestrian community. Thank you again. The reality is, Dr., I need to thank you on my behalf, and that is that you did not make structural changes, and the sports and competition process

I personally attended the Olympic youth competitions that you organized when you had just arrived. There was a possibility that you might not hold them because it was within your discretion not to do so, but you did it with strength. The issue of competitions means that there was really no disruption in the federation's work process, which was in the interest and benefit of the equestrian community, and I personally thank you there. The reality is that we are now standing at a point in time where, given the economic conditions, war, and issues we have, we are all unconsciously involved in the future and worried about where we will end up.

I asked you to honor us by talking about this topic. The Equestrian Federation's program at the beginning is that I would like to evaluate this sport. Maybe you have been active in other areas and are familiar with and have a command of Iranian sports. We want to see what you have evaluated the equestrian process compared to other federations up to this point, and now let's talk about the future together. Please. Well, according to the notification that Mr. Dr. Donyamali gave me as the head of the federation, it was decided to come and examine the issues and problems of the federation and

Prepare the ground for holding the federation's electoral assembly. Well, you initially mentioned the Asian competitions, which, considering the collective wisdom, it was decided to do this because it was a matter of national pride in our country, and if we canceled it, it would have consequences in international matters for the federation. We decided with the board members to move the competitions forward with strength and carry them out. Now, the bitterness that our kids didn't get a podium, for Iran, a little luck is involved, and it's not just up to the rider. Now, that coordination is much better because you are a member of this community. Anyway, when a borrowed horse comes into play, the equations completely change, and one cannot really predict who will get the podium.

Anyway, we pushed this discussion forward with the efforts and endeavors of friends, and fortunately, at the international level and a very good level, something that the judge of the region himself, Mr. Koochak, Ali Koochak, thanked a lot and certainly wrote that the competitions were held at a very good level. Well, after that, the federation has problems from the past due to the lack of proper attention, especially regarding financial issues from before, and there is an accumulation and congestion of debt that we had to examine and

Reach a conclusion and present it to the minister. This was done. There were other issues and problems in terms of administrative issues, the environment of the federation itself. I don't see myself just as a head who only wants to come to any federation I've been to, just to hold the assembly and have nothing to do with any other federation work. No, I think that any work that the federation has left undone should be done. Alongside that, we should also advance the assembly and the holding of elections. Well, this discussion had legal issues.

The elections had to have those legal issues resolved with the honorable legal deputy of the minister, which we moved forward. To some extent, the issue has been resolved, and the tasks we had to do were done, and after that, the discussion was that in the past, commissions participated in one discipline, and it was decided that elections for their various commissions should be held from all disciplines so that they would be present in the assembly and not just one discipline. Well, we solved this problem before. Now, this process had to be done.

It had to be professionally reviewed, sent to the joint office of the federations, and approved. This itself is time-consuming. We fortunately moved this process forward and did it, and yes, we announced it to the honorable director of the joint office and got their approvals, and we are entering the phase of the commission elections because the prelude to the presidential assembly elections must be done by the commissions, and it must be determined who the assembly members are. Well, this happened, and its correspondence has been done, and we are moving the work forward, and we must quickly determine the company and enter the phase of the commission elections.

Other issues also exist within the federation, which we are currently addressing administratively and legally. We are moving forward with the assembly discussions, and hopefully, good things will happen in the federation. One of the questions was about the athletes', coaches', and referees' councils, which we had challenges with before, but the fact that you have processed these matters is truly pleasing to me because it is a very important step in the federation's elections. Then you think that.

So far, as a caretaker from the country's sports body, you might have only known that the equestrian federation existed, but now that you are at the top of the hierarchy, how do you evaluate it? I want you to tell me this in a friendly manner. Well, it's clear that you are more aware of the federation's situation than I am. You see, one of the federation's committees, which I think has 20 committees, is now the Polo Committee. This federation has unique capabilities and complexities that could make it five federations on its own. Naturally, when a discipline is this extensive, its problems are equally numerous. Before I entered, because I was in the sports body, I knew that this federation had its own complexities and issues. But when I entered, I realized the magnitude of the issues and problems and how this federation is managed. In any case, it is a very large federation. Moreover, in all competitions, you have two athletes; one competition for human riders and one for sport horses.

We see how good it is that in this short time, you have truly become aware of this issue. The international federation makes you aware that whether you want it or not, when you want to hold a competition, until that horse is registered, its status monitored, and approved, you cannot hold a competition. It shows you that you must see the essence as an athlete and monitor all its activities, training, status, and position as an athlete and follow up because its work is important. You cannot hold a competition.

Each horse must be carefully examined and approved based on its condition, the vaccines it has received, where it has trained, and the places it has been. Well, I say this because every team you send or every competition you hold has two athletes; a rider and a horse, each with their own issues that need to be organized and properly addressed. Regarding the vastness of equestrian sports and industry, you are among the old federations. Because perhaps, for example, they found a horse bit in Lorestan seven thousand years ago. But we truly have a long history, and even at one time, this knowledge had left us. At some point in history, we had good riders, and we knew these things, but unfortunately, these are now...

Lost, and there is indeed a large volume of circulating capital wherever there is a horse in equestrianism. But personally, in these few years that this has been my job, I have never been able to see anyone come and consolidate this capital and move it forward in a specific structure. In your opinion, as a sports manager with expertise in this field, can this be done considering its vastness or not? I am in the second month of reporting the status...

Now, I have presented the federation's pathology to the Minister. Well, they gave very good instructions. It has even been decided that given the interdisciplinary nature of this sport, he said that the deputies should also be present, and I will again present these explanations and issues to the dear ones there to summarize and give the necessary instructions in person to the honorable deputy. Look, I have felt the federation's problems. That is, the current situation is clear. I also presented short-term solutions to the Minister, which he agreed with, and it is supposed to move forward so that the problems that have existed in the past, such as our issues with the Ministry of Agriculture regarding microchips, horse imports, the Horse Import Commission, the way competitions are held, and the interventions that sometimes come from the Ministry of Agriculture's subsidiaries, until these are resolved, until the pedigree and its status are clarified, until the microchip status is clarified, these problems will remain in the federation.

They have existed in the past and will continue unless we solve the quarantine issue. As the dear ones are aware, we are in the Black Zone. Yes, unfortunately, we have passed it. We can no longer import or export horses at all. It has its own specific protocols. If we do not solve these problems, the federation will not reach maturity.

You must first remove the obstacles in the federation's path, then help horse owners, horse breeding, and training specialized competition horses. The prerequisite for this work is to first solve the federation's problems step by step and then enter the discussion you mentioned, which is the horse economy that is very important and neglected. If that is also part of the federation's pillars and is not resolved, like the quarantine that must be resolved, if that is not resolved, this growth and maturity will not be seen in the federation.

Step by step, as you say, we must move forward and solve it one by one. The speed is high now. The type of communication and conversations, as you say, increases by itself. You mentioned statistics, and now you are certainly aware of it. I will tell you the statistics; we have export potential in the Caspian horse section...

We truly have export potential. When I was fortunate and worked in Europe, I saw that they really need this breed. But unfortunately, due to the diligence and effort in correcting quarantine issues, there are some producers that I know have really kept them alive with great difficulty and hardship, and even in the domestic market, unfortunately, because their usage has not been defined, their committees have not been very active, they have only produced with every difficulty, and I hope that your effort will continue. Because at least here, I feel that if you are present, you will eventually remove this obstacle somehow.

Do you think we will reach the holding of specialized sports commissions for athletes? I don't mean the exact date, but for example, a time when, because the reality is that now, thanks to the kindness, they ask me, sir, we don't know what to do. We are stuck; the federation is difficult. But well, I say you were such that we didn't realize that the caretaking had gone here because we had caretaking before, and the structure changed several times, and the classes were disrupted, and people got stuck. Truly, during this time that you have been present, we personally did not feel that anyone criticized this. But do you think that...

Approximately when can you advance this topic of commissions? Considering it has its own administrative process. You have started and entered these issues. But as I mentioned to you, for example, if we want to take action for its export, well, we have the quarantine issue. The quarantine issue should be resolved so that we can then enter the discussion of industrialization and export and carry out its tasks.

I certainly presented the program to Mr. Minister and also submitted a plan and a proposal to Mr. Minister regarding the quarantine issue, which we will now enter, and as long as I have the honor of serving, I will follow up, and after that, whoever the assembly decides or for any reason that the next person is, God willing, they will also follow up in the same way, and this issue will be resolved. But I wanted to tell you that, well, the Arabian horse in endurance competitions belongs to Iran, and the purebred Arabian horse is Iranian.

Which is the leader in endurance worldwide. This is also a brand that, unfortunately, we have not paid attention to for a while, and when I met with Mr. Minister, I mentioned this and said that one of the topics that can be very influential both in sports and medal-winning and in breeding and selling horses is that we can also do this with the Gulf countries that are very interested in the Arabian. I have a plan in mind that I will say these are in the next stages, God willing.

At least we should start it so that it begins later. We have the Darreh-Shouri horse, which also has its own characteristics and a special potential that must definitely be worked on. We have the Kurdish horse, which is a very purebred horse from Iran and has its own special talent in the show riding discussion that you must have seen. This can also be invested in, and we can preserve this principle and, God willing, develop it more and enter its economic phase. Regarding the commission discussion.

Let me say it's not just about the Caspian. We have three or four other horses that are Iranian and purebred, and we have certainly seen them and have plans for them. I say these require, for example, I tell you, we had world endurance competitions. Unfortunately, the committee chairman could not introduce us to, for example, 20 registered originals so that we could hold the competitions according to global standards.

It goes back to the type of interaction we need to have with Jihad. Well, we had a meeting last week, and I was very happy that we didn't need to explain to them, and it was decided to set up a joint commission on the issues and problems I mentioned to you. God willing, we can reach a useful exchange of ideas that, God willing, will lead to a good result for equestrianism. I remember a few years ago we had endurance competitions, but unfortunately, now for a few years, it has completely.

When there were so many horses and then with this vast climate we have, unfortunately, it is very painful because I saw in a series of towns what space they can provide and are interested, but no one has paid any attention to them, and in every town I went to, I talked to a few of the heads of the board and was very dissatisfied with the concentration in Tehran, and the potential was not seen, and I needed training, but I hope that now in the future.

This situation will improve because we have a lot of potential in the town area. I saw people interested in the era who really kept a horse in their home with all the hardship as part of their family. Sorry, I mentioned the commission, we started it, and those few disciplines that needed to be members, we did their work. Expert work has been done, and we sent the regulations to the Federation's Joint Affairs Office for approval, and then we will enter the phase of holding its elections. What good news.

One of the issues that many in the equestrian community are currently complaining about is the club affairs, which I personally know is not under the supervision of club affairs in the sports federation's statute. It goes back to the general sports departments that notify the boards. For example, I saw a few in Qazvin province, Mr. Darvish, I saw that they put up a banner in front of the club and graded the clubs. I'm very happy with the list of coaches, but unfortunately, we still don't have this issue in Tehran, and well, the main costs have really become difficult for some segments of society considering the economic conditions.

I want to see if you, as a sports manager who is present here, can provide a solution so that people can now clarify or have demands or at least have a chart. Yes, well, from the first week I came, I saw that, well, for example, they had summarized some issues, but it had not reached a conclusion. I asked our education affairs official to follow up on this issue. We also had several meetings with Dr. Daneshvar regarding the drafting of the regulations, and fortunately, we updated the so-called club formation regulations and or.

The so-called issuance of licenses for clubs, and we specified it. Of course, there was nothing approved and communicated. In the federation, we updated this path with the items and so-called instructions that are in the clubs' own regulations in the Ministry of Sports. We came and so-called localized it regarding the equestrian club, which is generally about clubs. We came and so-called localized it and corrected it, and God willing, within less than a month.

We will take its approval in the board of directors and communicate it to the clubs. The next phase is club grading. It is currently being done, and God willing, we will also try to not talk about big things that have not been done. Now it is being done one by one. They announce it on the site, they announce it to the boards, and the boards become aware. I don't really like it to be noisy and start. Slowly, we are doing the work with friends. Slowly, we are communicating it to the boards so that.

These problems will be solved, God willing. May you have success. A question, do you have a program for the presidency in your federation, meaning are you interested or not? The answer is no. This topic started somewhere, and now many are asking.

In the board, the committees that come to the federation have a meeting, and now I also try to attend the meeting. If there is a problem or a topic that they need to tell me, we are aware. I try to be aware of this, so to speak. Well, one of the friends in one of the committees asked a question, I said a topic, this work must be done. He said that well, this work is a very big job, maybe it doesn't fit the interim period. I also told him that you should not think that I am an interim. I think like the president of the federation, I move things forward like this. Now I don't know how it spread in the equestrian community that Mr. Mot wanted to participate.

I came here according to the minister's instructions, I am the supervisor, and I will leave here according to the same instructions of the minister. It doesn't matter to me. If he concludes that I should register, I will register. If he does not reach this conclusion, I will not register, and I will conduct the federation's elections legally and impartially like the previous federations and hand it over to the next person and say goodbye. Are you interested or not? See the discussion of interest.

I grew up in sports and was definitely interested in sports, which is why I have been active in this field for more than twenty years. Despite the situation with salaries and benefits, I certainly had an interest in the sports environment and atmosphere. In any federation I went to, if it was the minister's opinion, I worked as a supervisor. As long as I was there, I thought I was the president of the federation, and it made no difference to me, and I did my job. After that, I organized the collection impartially and handed it over to the president of the federation. Honestly, during this time...

Now I was following the news from afar, and there were channels that eventually twisted the words. Honestly, we didn't feel that the supervisor was here, meaning the work was going on normally. Really, thank you and well done. Let me tell you that these elections will be held by the end of this year, and I will definitely try to...

Our topic is not very formal and dry, and think however you are comfortable. I try to proceed in the way I think is right. This conversation we have, I really don't look at it as if the discussion of supervision is like this. Many things remain in the federation and get damaged, meaning...

If the supervision period is not done correctly and accurately, it is the period of damage to the federation. Exactly, I have been working in various sports fields and federations for nearly twenty years, and for this reason, I will never cause harm myself because I have seen the damages of the federation. I was in rowing for two years, and during the supervision period, several supervisors changed, and I saw how sports and athletes get damaged. I will certainly not let my presence in the federation cause harm, and as far as possible, I will try to...

Help if there is a problem in the work, to solve it and act according to the law. Now some friends complain a little, and I won't name names. One of the boards was supposed to hold its elections, and it was delayed for almost twenty days. Now the director-general and the deputy were complaining, and the supervisor who was there and those who were candidates, I didn't pay attention to these things at all and said the work must be done accurately and legally. As it is, for the first time until now, it has been annulled, and for this reason, I said I will not let, God forbid, something happen in...

The holding of the provincial board that later leads to the federation's elections being questioned or damaged. Because, for example, I say to the minister, I don't see it as a problem if the federation's elections are delayed by two or three months but done accurately. Again, after a year, like this series or the previous series, after one or two years, it gets annulled again, which its damage is many times...

More and harder than if, for example, the federation is delayed by two or three months. My opinion is that the general assembly and the federation's electoral assembly elections must be held accurately and clearly, without margins and issues...

Are held. Old issues have been cleared, or I am not yet in the flow of legal matters. I don't know, it has been a short time for the commission to be held. Look, the commission was one of the commission's issues. Yes, because it was held as a single-discipline, and two or three dear ones had filed a complaint about this issue. Well, we came and solved its problem, wrote its law and regulations, and announced it. It is approved and held. The commission now...

Let's hope that, God willing, this federation will be done, meaning the elections will be held, and then tomorrow we won't have a court ruling and in these groups and these, because unfortunately, we have a bit of a habit of saying some family things, and somewhere we even score own goals. Yes, these own goals take a lot of our energy. But I hope that with your presence, you will be a challenge as a candidate and be elected and hold elections, and then, God willing, we will have a...

As they say, a restart, God willing, with the help of God and your help. What is your opinion about the equestrian community? You have been in other sports communities, and you...

We have seen a lot of martial spirit. I want to see if we evaluated the equestrian community. I saw it like a rainbow. There are different spectrums that all together have a special beauty. Yes, each color has its beauty, but when they come together, the beauty becomes complete.

In these almost three months that I have served the equestrian community, I did not see the enthusiasm I expected from them towards the principle, towards equestrianism, comprehensively. Unfortunately, they have gone a little into the margins and different groups, and this harms the sport. It's okay, I can have my opinion that I like, for example, Moti or I don't like Moti.

I may like Moti's performance and management style or question it, it's okay. But this liking and questioning should only be in support of the principle and equestrianism. Unfortunately, sometimes it is not like this. What I am seeing, my request from the equestrian community is that please, please know your connecting link as serving the horse and equestrian community. People come and go, and it may not be very important. This is that...

Every person who has come, we take the good behaviors they had and use them. If they also had a mistake, we consider it as an unknowing and unintended mistake that happened in the collection, and until we unite, until we have cohesion, this mountain of problems that exist in the federation will not be solved. This requires national unity in equestrianism. This event must happen, there must be unity and form so that all friends come to work and these problems are solved. Especially from my dear colleagues in the provincial equestrian boards...

I ask that you certainly now have been very kind to me. I am not discussing myself at all, I am discussing the Equestrian Federation of the Islamic Republic, which they must try to help us get out of this situation and this twist that we are stuck in, God willing, we can be released and move towards solving the problems. The good potentials we have, we have very good riders and the issue of purebred Iranian horses that have been neglected and not paid attention to...

We should pay attention. With the great efforts of all the dear ones who have worked hard in this federation so far, I hope that from now on they will double their efforts and, God willing, we can overcome these problems and resolve the issues. I am very happy that you have come so close to this community in such a short time that you have practically corrected us up to 90 percent. Despite the short time you have been here, unfortunately, something that I personally put a lot of pressure on and really want to be done, which you mentioned...

Let's put aside selfishness and know that if we don't join hands, this sport and this industry will really fall, because as you know, this industry does not have a government budget. That is, we may not even be among the statistics in sports federations because equestrianism is amateur and we don't have a budget, nor do we have much breadth. We are a family that finally lifts this burden but takes on a big commitment so that we can answer the young generation in the future about what we did for you. What I expect from the veterans now, I put a part of it on your shoulders.

They worked hard, after the revolution the land was left, they lifted it but we saw the biggest shortage in the last 20 years. To be honest, I mean, after all, you did professional sports, now you give wrestling in a martial arts club, a veteran comes out, you call, everyone stands up and kisses his shoulder. Unfortunately, this has become very faint in equestrianism. There was a young man in the middle of the arena, but the young man is, he didn't know who he was. Then I told him, you know what, I don't know him, he is the national champion.

I don't know him for 15 years, I don't know him for 20 years. Now I hope that with your support and the wisdom you have really had during this time, for which I personally thank you, we will pass this difficult turn and good days will come and, God willing, the situation of our country will also improve. Again, if you have any final words, I am all ears, please go ahead. Be healthy. The hardship that has arisen in recent years, especially this year and this imposed war that unfortunately was created by the usurping and savage regime of Israel, caused a lot of damage, especially in the field of sports economy and especially equestrianism. I hope that, God willing, with the help of the honorable Minister of Sports and Youth, we can create some facilities for club owners, for those who are horse breeders, so that, God willing, they can pass this year and not face problems. I ask all my dear athletes to definitely consider this unity that I mentioned so that, God willing,

we can see good and happy days for Iranian equestrian sports in the very near future. Thank you very much, I wish you health. Thank you for standing by and helping so far and not being passive in the federation, and I would like to thank the entire equestrian community, even though we may be very critical and not very supportive, but I personally thank you for the effort you put in and for the interview and the kindness you showed. I wish you health and to serve the sport

of this country. Thank you. This was my conversation with the head of the Equestrian Federation about the past and future of equestrianism. I hope these words have encouraged you for the future and I wish good days for horses and equestrianism in Iran. As always, I entrust you all to the great God and take care of yourselves and your horses.
